The "Olympics of Welding Technology“ – the SCHWEISSEN & SCHNEIDEN 2009 in Essen – is already a few days in the past.

60,000 experts from more than 120 countries updated themselves about the lastest advances in technology which were presented there.

On its 600 m² stand under the slogan "Total Torch Technology" ABICOR BINZEL presented professional and state-of-the-art Welding- and Cutting Technology which is geared to the needs and wishes of users, worldwide. Innovative and solution-orientated.


Industry specialists agreed that ABICOR BINZEL exactly met market requirements and again set trends for the future with its new products. As for example in the product area MIG/MAG – the new air and liquid cooled torch line ABIMIG^® GRIP with the 2-Component handle system "GRIP". This innovative handle-concept combines ergonomics and grip with all common module variations (for switch and control functions), including ”switch on top”. Moreover the air cooled torches of the ABIMIG^® GRIP series up to 320 A utilize the newly developed Low-Weight Bikox^® cable, which gives perfect balance to the torches where handling weight is considerably reduced in handling weight for effortless welding. The liquid cooled ABIMIG^® GRIP Torches torches are especially effective in impulse welding, due to an optimized dual-circuit cooling system that ensures “extra-cool” wear parts and therefore extended service life.

Also in the product areas TIG, PLASMA and ROBO ABICOR BINZEL was able to convince the professionals of the "World of Welding- and Cutting Technology" with numerous new developments and enhancements. Whether with ABITIG^® GRIP Little TIG Torches, which offer compact design, perfect balance of the torch body to the handle and great flexibility; with the ABICUT Plasma Cutting Torch series or with the innovative Robot Torches and Periphery for the latest welding-robot generation.

Through the open stand concept our fair presence was transformed into a "Come together" of the Welding Technology – worldwide.
